CNN Special Report on CBD and Charlotte Figi by Dr. Sanjay Gupta

There is a little girl named Charlotte Figi, and she had been suffering from Dravet Syndrome, a rare form of epilepsy. She had her first seizure at three months, and as she got older, they started to last longer and in more frequency. By the age of three, she was in a wheelchair, couldn’t eat, and stopped talking. By five, she was put into a medically induced coma, and her parents believed there was nothing they could do for her.

In the video above, Dr. Sanjay Gupta from CNN goes in-depth with Charlotte’s story and how cannabis contained the secret ingredient to bringing Charlotte back to a livable life.

CBD Extracted From Cannabis To Cure Charlotte Figi’s Seizures

From seizing 300 times per week to ZERO seizures the entire first week of trying CBD out. The Figis were convinced that CBD could be the miracle medicine to Charlotte’s problem. At the time, no one was making no THC marijuana. They found the Stanley Brothers who were growing CBD rich cannabis plants. This ensured that Charlotte was not getting high and getting the CBD needed to treat her disorder.

How does it work?

Dr. Sanjay Gupta, a neurosurgeon, is recommending to more and more families to help treat similar disorders. The body produces natural cannabinoids to help deal with pain, movement coordination, cognitive abilities, appetite, and emotions. When CBD enters the body, the body creates more cannabinoids and produces the beneficial effects.
